Germ tubes formed at both ends of the fungus Bipolaris sp. The fungus was incubated in water at 25 °C for 24 hours. Bipolaris species can cause a number of infections in humans, including mycotic keratitis, subcutaneous phaeohyphomycosis and sinusitis.
