About the Cover
Legionella rowbothamii (LLAP-6) colonies exhibiting blue-white autofluorescence on exposure to long-wavelength UV light. The unusual aspect of this strain is the yellow pigmentation (evident before exposure to UV light) of colonies after prolonged incubation rather than the typical grey-blue of other Legionella colonies, which may have led to them being discarded as non-Legionella strains in previous studies. Picture supplied by Mahmoud A. Halablab, King's College London.
