In the Introduction (p. 657), the sentence 'However, with the introduction of a meningococcal vaccine, the number of cases has rapidly decreased, and at present stands at only approximately ten per year for meningococcal meningitis' should read 'However, without the introduction of a meningococcal vaccine, the number of cases has rapidly decreased, and at present stands at only approximately ten per year for meningococcal meningitis'.
