Kytococcus schroeteri, a cocci gram-positive bacterium, is a usually regarded as a part of human skin flora. It has been described in prosthetic valve endocarditis but never involved in osteoarticular infections. We report the first case of a spondylodiscitis due to Kytococcus schroeteri identified by the 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
