The anaerobic culture of clinical specimens: a 14-month study

M. W. Wren, A. W. Baldwin, C. P. Eldon and P. J. Sanderson

This paper presents the results of the examination of routine clinical specimens for anaerobes and gives details of the revised anaerobic cultures techniques recently introduced into this laboratory. The species of anaerobic bacteria isolated from lesions in different sites of the body are described and recommendations are made concerning methods of identification and culture.
